Kandy
The picturesque town of Kandy is located 115 km northeast of Colombo, on the banks of the Maheveli Ganga River.
In the center of the city is an artificial lake, the creation of the last king of Kandy. And in its center on a small island stands the Summer Palace, where the king once kept his harem.

In Sri Lanka, south of Sigiriya, in the place of Dambulla on the top of a mountain (350 meters above sea level) there is a Buddhist cave temple, consisting of 5 caves.
Polonnaruwa was the capital of the Sinhalese state in the Middle Ages. The remains of the royal palace, several houses for aristocrats and huts for the poor, the monastery of Alakhan Piriven with huge halls and even a stone pool have been preserved here.
